truely a sad day. fake copies of the 2009 louis vuitton stephen sprouse tribute graffiti keepalls were already flooding the web (i thought of uploading those pics, but i felt so repulsed by it). it's not cool to carry fake bags. it's not ethical to buy fake bags. the bags could have been made by child labour in poor under developed countries, and proceeds might have been used for illegal acts.
why spend $180 on a fake keepall? if i can't afford a vuitton keepall i would never resort to getting a ripped copy. one can get a decent luggage elsewhere for that price.
for those who appreciate the finer details in life, the real mckoys will be launched on 2nd feb worldwide. keep it real, keep it real!

dear kanye,
if you decided you do not like the monogramouflage keepall anymore, don't step on it! pass it to me at 00o00.blogspot@googlemail.com!
& loving your red shoes.

sneakers, trainers, however we call it, they are still the most comfortable and stylish get ups for lazy days. below are some of my favourite sneakers, not ridiculously expensive yet stylish and relevant for today. plain and simple is the key. for some reason they are all out of my size!
common projects leather hi tops, £169 / it's rather difficult to find common projects shoes online, and i really like this pair of hi tops. loving the gold stamping of the serial numbers at the back which makes a simple pair of shoes unique.
raf by raf simons leather hi tops, £169 / these remind me of the pierre hardy sneakers, but way more affordable and equally stylish.
jil sander suede and leather sneaker, was £179, now £90! i love this pair! velcro is all the rage these days, and this looks so comfy and stylish. oh someone grab it please!
all shoes from oki-ni.com. they ship internationally, and with the record low GBP exchange rate, it's no excuse! come save the UK economy!
a little bit of military, a little bit of smart tailoring, a little bit of banker chic, a little bit of bowler hats, a little bit of tomas maier, a little bit of christopher bailey, a lotta new found love for moschino.

and in my humble opinion, they have one of the better castings of the season.

there was a special hermès sale happening over the weekend in london, and reader "R" kindly informed me of the details. as expected, there were no bags nor accessories, but lots of ready-to-wear and shoes! here's what i came home with:
hermès piccadilly men's boots in mocha calf leather and suede. i have many pairs of shoes, but to be honest nothing comes close to this. the workmanship is amazing, the chocolate brown leather is so soft it fits like a glove, the suede: just sumptuous.
i am not a fan of lace up boots because at times it is difficult to wear, but they were so ingenious so use hooks instead of eyelets for the upper parts, making it more comfortable and easy to wear.
the interior is beautifully lined in buttery soft leather. the attention to detail is amazing.
i am now having a louboutin moment. i want to wear the shoes but i don't want the signature orange soles to get scratched. dilemma!
one more look at the velvety chocolate suede before it goes back into the box
as the shoes were marked down, dustbags doesn't come with it, but they were kind enough to find me 2 dustbags at the till. this shows polite manners and a smile goes a very long way! always store each shoe in one dustbag, or the shoes might be scratched by one another.

beautiful. i promise to work a little harder, grumble less at work, and walk upright with my shoulders pulled back.
the shoes were actually from fall winter 2007, but who cares. did i mention i got this at... 60% off?
i can wear this to work, or feeling dressy i can wear this on weekends too.

bliss. we need more orange(s) in our lives!

i needed to run some errands in town, and this tube engineering works isn't helping. four weeks in a row now, are we sure this is not some sort of cost cutting exercise disguised as "station closures due to engineering works"? hop scotched around town in my merino wool sweater from h&m, cheap monday black denims, paul smith "i have many pairs of shoes but i always find that i have nothing to wear" sneakers and smelling of helmut lang eau de cologne.
channeling my inner lumberjack/ryan gosling, i got this wool shirt/jacket from zara. i need some colors in my life, and the padded sleeves make my arms look bigger which is a good thing!
also bought a pair of green corduroy trousers from COS (sibling company to h&m, selling supposely higher quality and more stylish less fashionable pieces. ie: classics), reduced by 70%. don't we love sales. don't we love colors.
and R from lavin sneakers fame, tipped me off about a special hermes sale happening over the weekend, and i couldn't resist! i got a pair of boots, at 60% off! i am most pleased!! thanks R!
and in a bid to stay off the shops, i've made lunch and dinner plans for next saturday. happy days!
i have been looking forward to this show all week, in fact all season. to be honest, the clothes were really lucklustre, it was supposedly inspired by the themes of travel and africa, but i am struggling to see it transcending through. and what's with sending malnutritioned looking boys down the runway with ill-fitting jackets? the cash cow at vuitton, inevitably is still accessories:

my favourites: the embossed monogrammed keepall and steamerbag. monogram madness, but my heart literally skipped a beat when i saw the keepall (smaller sized than usual? & please don't call it a man-speedy!). and those dusty suede shoes, must have. must save up for both shoes and bag.
credit crunch, where? absolutely stunning. the alligator (am guessing it's not croc?) died a beautiful death.

i guess the introduction of fabric bags makes it more affordable for the masses and will boost revenues. but then again vuitton's pricing is hardly predictable. recent days it veers betwen expensive and ridiculous. and oh, i am loving the monk straps shoes too, but it resembles something prada had done 2 seasons ago.
& those football inspired patchwork monogrammed bags are really not my cup of tea. seriously what were they thinking?? (amazing attention to details though, each piece matches nicely to the other)
and finally men doesn't need to "borrow" the cashmere stoles from the ladies' section anymore. loving the checks and muted grey color.
all in all, it got me excited and examining each look closely, which is a good thing i suppose. although we are in the midst of a hard, cold and economy stricken winter, i wish winter 2009/2010 will come s00o00n.

while the world is focused on the OOO00o00 so delectable embossed keepalls from the louis vuitton fall winter 2009/2010 show, kanye west creates quite a stir on the sidewalks, looking very color coordinated and previewing yet another pair of his "kanye west for louis vuitton" sneakers, which is due to arrive in shops in june.
loving the red sneakers, the red scarf and even the red tag on the much coveted monogramouflage keepall. 00o00 very nice.
alumni of the monogramouflage keepall clan includes:
- john mayer
- kobe bryant
- chris brown
will one of the alumnus hook me up with one already!

for spring summer 2009, balenciaga produced a individually numbered hard bound lookbook for it's menswear collection. so coveted, i even saw a security tag attached to the lookbook at harvey nichols a few weeks ago. the house of balenciaga commissioned photographer ryan mcginley for the ultra moody yet cinemasque shots. not very clear shots of the menswear collection, but a very exciting project and direction for balenciaga menswear.
absolutely amazing. and if i can get my hands on the lookbook i will be mega pleased.
i heart balenciaga!
