model at pringle's menswear spring summer 2010 showcase. it is always nice to be able to see and feel the collection up close. i am very surprised at this collection, it's very light, very wearable. i took a few more pics too, so more to come!

i love love love the neck piece. am not normally a fan of necklaces but i really like that

so who is this guy as snapped by the sartorialist, wearing the necklace hot off the runway? trussardi creative director milan vukmirovic of course. now all the more i want one!

my favourites from the show has to be the feathered tops, which is just exquisite. as the collection was inspired by folk art, they painstakingly sewn on the intricate pieces. i would love to see it up close! word on the street is that luxury departmental store harrods will be stocking up on most of this collection! i know where i'll be this coming spring!

the wonderful people at buckstyle went to the louis vuitton showroom for a re-see of their spring summer 2010 menswear collection. boy am i jealous!


the simply divine ostrich skin backpack. i said i will never carry a backpack after leaving school. you know, never say never.

the stunning sequined shoes. stunning stunning stunning!

the perforated shoes, i really like. there's also this tri-colored suede shoes which they did not take a pic of, which is just as good as it might just induce a visual orgasm out of me.

bottega veneta spring 2010 canvas holdall

the autumn winter 2009 collections hasn't arrived in stores yet, is it too early to wishlist spring summer 2010 items? if i can just have 1 bag for next season, i want it to be the bottega veneta canvas holdall with braided leather handles. 00o00h i like, a lot.

sale time shopping

retailers are slashing prices of their spring summer stocks fast and furious now to make way for the new autumn winter collections which should hit stores in july. i went to one of my favourite stores, harvey nichols, to have a look see...

i bought the lanvin beaded tee, which was reduced by 50%, and a further 10% off being the first 4 days of sales. even after reductions, i still think it is rather expensive for a t-shirt but i really like the detailing. this is my first piece of lanvin.


the t-shirt was featured on the lanvin spring summer 2009 show too. i love the layering, i would probably wear it like that too. dazed and confused menswear fashion editor robbie spencer has one in red too, i like.


i really like this lanvin pleated white shirt (though it will be a nightmare to iron!) but it is one size too big for me, so i put it back.


the shirt was also featured on the spring summer 2009 show, with the green beaded tee.


i also bought the dries van noten short sleeved cotton/linen shirt.


a similar long sleeved version was featured on the dries van noten spring summer 2009 show, modeled by clement chabernaud no less!


i then left harvey nichols, went to massimo dutti around the corner to see if that pair of shoes i've always wanted is on sale or not. of course it is, and it's the last pair! new yorker extraordinaire wecouldgrowuptogether also has a pair.


then i headed to harrods for their first day of sales, and rather impulsively bought a beige heavy cotton military jacket from gucci's cruise 2009 collection. it was reduced by 50% and i couldn't resist, despite that i have a very similar looking jacket from their fall winter 2007 series.


there were 2 jackets to choose from too, but i chose the one on the left as the collar on the right really bothers me.


and if miss poly will shift slightly to the right we could have a good view of the jacket as it appears on the gucci spring summer 2009 campaign.

ahh bliss, it's tin soups and baked beans for the next 3 months then.

& also it must be mentioned, that the service at gucci's menswear concession at harrods is beyond appalling. i could say a lot worse really.

my favourite british male model, matt benstead, backstage after versace spring summer 2010 menswear show. we had a quick chat and he seems genuinely nice too, and happily posed for a pic. he mentioned his next show was ferragamo, i wished him all the best.

i wore my new shoes out yesterday. €14.99 from H&M in milan. i don't know what i'll do without H&M!

- to those who wondered what noah answered when i asked him how it was like to walk down the versace runway in those speedos (ok technically speaking it's briefs/trunks), he replied via twitter to say "they fit great ;-)". we will all be wearing versace speedos come spring 2010!!!!

the finale was pretty special, everyone was expecting the models to do another round at the catwalk but this is how they ended the show instead...

i love love love the bamboo print on the leather, exquisite.

the bags they were holding looked like toiletries bag really, but strangely appealing..

the leather waist bag/pouch looks functional and amazing, i want!

versace wasn't on my original list of shows to watch, but thanks to the wonderful clare and bianca i got to experience the magic. *hearts*
