last friday, jay-z attended the new york nicks v new jersey nets game in a pair of maison martin margiela line 22 hi top chain sneakers. i thought the bits surrounding the laces looked unusual. upon closer inspection, it's actually a metal chain running through the circumference of the eyelets. unusual, but i thought it's pretty cool. and i'm glad jay-z kept everything else toned down, so the statement shoes worked really well with the entire look.
What the point of having a "timeless" ipad case, when it's for something like technology that changes so quickly that it's likely to change in a few years that you can't even use the case?
ReplyDeleteit's just a personal preference. the ipad/case would probably last as long as my wallet, 3-4 yrs? still a fair bit of time, and i would like something easy on the eye...
ReplyDeleteYou're brave. That case must of cost a lot, I just couldn't go through with a purchase like that (granted, I do buy expensive things) especially since technology changes so much, the piece wouldn't exactly be timeless. But whatever floats your boat.
ReplyDeletei LOOOOVE the way you blog!
ReplyDeleteI do like the trainers but not a fan of Gum Soles. Have to see these in real life
When Jay Z said "no one does it fresher than maison martin margiela" he just wasn't name dropping.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I wish MMM would get back to its roots and start to subvert things more extremely. Playing it safe makes MMM seem extremely boring and expensive compared to their artisanal range which is expensive but amazing.
The house of Dolls range was great and I would love to see the Masion's work utilising its early concepts and the great basics they make now.
